Korpiklaani, which was established in 2003, is today the most internationally successful Finnish-language band, conquering the stages from South and North America to China, Japan, and Australia. The band’s journey to international arenas has included joy, wild adventures, pitfalls, and bitter partings. Korpiklaani’s music combines the rawness of metal and the joy of folk music, colored by the tones of the violin and the accordion. The band’s Finnish-language lyrics, based on the Kalevala meter, have brought folk poetry to a new era. Thanks to Korpiklaani, thousands of fans around the world have discovered the beauty of Finnish mythology and language. His first book, Lapinlahden linnut-Miksei asioista puhuta (Docendo), was published in 2023.
