About Working Women of WWII
During World War II, over 18 million women answered the call on the home front by working jobs they had previously been told they were not capable of. Not only did these “Rosie the Riveters” help win the war, they inspired future generations of women to join the workforce and serve their country. Raya Kenney decided they needed a memorial in Washington, DC; that is our mission.
