I was one of the very first paying subscribers to the NYNJPA Weather website and I have faithfully renewed my annual membership every year since. Steve is a knowledgeable and experienced weather forecaster in what is undoubtedly one of the most difficult regions in the world to forecast weather, i.e. the U.S. Middle Atlantic coast. What really makes Steve exceptional is that he relies on science. Not models, not hype or folklore, but science. He does an excellent job in not just telling you what is going to happen, but he goes to the next level and explains why it's going to happen. You don't get that with any other weather forecasters - the why is frequently never discussed. As a result, Steve doesn't just look at computer models; his forecasts don't change from model run to model run. By looking at the science, and the physics, Steve can go beyond the models and tell you why the forecast will do x, y and then z. Its a simple, yet superior, way to forecast weather and it makes his forecasts very reliable. Steve is not 100% accurate, no forecaster is or can be, but Steve is right 9 times out of 10; and when his forecasts don't pan out, he explains why they didn't work and uses it as a way to learn how to look at things for the next time.
